Field Trip Transportation

Facilities Management offers field trip transportation services for the campus community. We also provide vehicle maintenance and State reporting services for all campus vehicles.

Field Trip Transportation Services

Facilities Management coordinates the reservation of buses and vans for University field trips. We currently have 4 buses, and all are 28 passengers (one is ADA accessible).  There are currently two 12  person vans (11 passenger - 1 driver) that can be assigned when no buses are available or when buses are not appropriate. Please note all trips with 6 or fewer passengers are encourgaed to contract directly with Enterprise for a rental car. Buses are rented by the mile and must be driven by a University driver, so additional hourly charges will apply to these vehicles. Please note that pickup/dropoff bus services for flights at the airport are not available for the Academic Year 24/25.

              * Vans may only be used for Cal Poly Students/Staff/Faculty. Vans cannot be used to transport minors under 18.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Services

Facilities Management is no longer reserving rental vehicles or receiving vehicles for pick-up in the Facilities Management parking lot. Please make your rental car arrangements directly with Enterprise and be sure to follow all travel policies and procedures found here. 

Before reserving a vehicle, you will need to have satisfactorily completed the Defensive Driver training for students, faculty & staff and be aware of Humboldt and CSU Travel Policies.
