Mail & Freight
The Campus Mail Department processes all on- and off-campus mail, excluding Housing Student mail. Housing Student mail should be addressed directly to the student using the Housing mailing address distributed upon move-in. As of July 1, 2021, all USPS mail using an HM500 fund will be tracked and paid for centrally. Departments should still provide the chartfields for reporting purposes, but departments will not be directly charged for outgoing USPS mail using HM500 funds. Please note that any unusual mail activity may result in a department chargeback.
The Campus Mailroom (not including Housing) is located in Shipping & Receiving Building, directly to the north of Facilities Management, on the corner of B and 14th streets.
Whenever possible, please use the internal University Mail Services provided by Facilities Management for all your USPS postal needs. The University has budgeted state-funded postal services through one department, FM Shipping & Receiving. If you have questions about postage or anything related to shipping & receiving, please call our Shipping & Receiving team at x3932 during our open hours: M-F 8am-noon, and 12:30-4:00pm.

Personal Package & Mail Policy
Faculty and Staff are reminded that State resources shall not be used for personal inbound or outbound mail or freight. The Campus Mail Department handles official Humboldt business mail & freight only. This includes U.S. Mail, UPS, overnight express carriers, and on-campus mail. Campus Mail Services cannot accept, pickup, or deliver personal/unofficial mail.
