Current Facilities Achievements and Reminders
Custodial
Please close all windows at the end of the day and return furniture to its original location if you rearrange furniture in classes, labs or meeting spaces.
Office trash will be removed on Tuesdays and Fridays. Remember that food waste does not belong in landfill bins. Look for the green foot pedal compost bin in your building or the green-topped metal bins outside buildings. If there is not one near you, or you cannot find it, please contact us.
Maintenance or custodial services needed in the restroom? Look for the Facilities Management sticker on a mirror with customer service contact information!
Recycling
Reminder that special waste/recycling pickups require a work request. All waste disposal on campus is for campus generated waste only. This includes e-waste and is not intended for personal devices.
Keys
The beginning of each semester is always very impacted as we get over 1,000 key requests. Please be patient as we process these requests; we strive to complete requests within 5 business days or less.
Check your FacilitiesLink Public Dashboard to find information about issued keys and your outstanding work orders: https://humboldt.metabim.com/public/issue/Default.htm?Apps=Issue
Field Trip Transportation
Starting 9/24/24, campus will offer 12 passenger vans for field trips, in addition to traditional buses. As resources allow, field trips of 6 or more will be assigned either a 28-passenger bus (with a driver) or a van (no driver provided). As usual, field trip transportation requests are submitted through the University Field Trip transportation webform. Please note that van driver names must now be submitted to HR through the volunteer form adobe sign workflow to ensure drivers have completed defensive driver training and passed the DMV background check. Trips of fewer than 6 people must continue to rent vehicles from Enterprise directly.
Mail/Distribution
Complete the mail/freight form, print, and bring with you when you drop off freight to be shipped out. It includes chartfield information necessary to complete the shipments.
Capital Projects
Our capital projects aim to make the Humboldt campus both beautiful and functional. From student housing to engineering and technology spaces, we have multiple major and minor capital projects ongoing across the campus community.
Sustainability
We take sustainability extremely seriously at Cal Poly Humboldt. We are proud to have many active programs and initiatives to help us care for the environment around us.
