Seismic Relocation - Details

The majority of both The Library and Theater Arts seismic retrofit projects will  occur during the 2018/19 AY, significantly impacting the full use of the buildings. Due to the degree of impact, there is not adequate available space on campus to absorb features being displaced. The Campus Events Field project provides a portion of the additional space that is necessary for the campus to continue to fully operate.

Jenkins Hall

Faculty and Staff displaced by the Theatre Arts Seismic Retrofit will temporarily occupy offices and classrooms in the Jenkins Hall building during construction. Please refer to the Campus Directory to find the updated location of any impacted individual you need to reach.

Campus Events Field

The Campus Events Field will begin demobilization beginning Summer 2019. The temporary buildings housing the Y.E.S. program, Student Disability Resource Center, Veteran Center of VETS, Testing Center, and the Academic Career & Advising Center will remain while the rest of the buildings will be taken from the site. The remaining units will be taken after the moves are complete in January 2020. Final rehabilitation of the field area will be completed over Spring/Summer 2020. Please refer to the Campus Directory to find the updated location of any impacted individual you need to reach.
