Student Housing at St. Louis Road

Project Details

Cal Poly Humboldt is developing a student housing project located along St. Louis Road approximately 0.5 mile north of the Cal Poly Humboldt campus. The 12.8-acre project site will developed into an 964-bed housing complex that will provide apartment-style student residence units for undergraduate and graduate students attending Cal Poly Humboldt. The project includes an exercise gym, common lounge spaces, study spaces, computer rooms, television rooms, a market /convenience store, and conference rooms. Exterior amenities include green space, covered and secure bicycle parking, and appropriate hardscapes.  Additionally, the project includes on-site parking, exterior safety lighting, and a connection to the future Annie & Mary Trail.

News and Updates

CEQA Updates:

July 2022: Notice of Preparation and two public meetings were held on March 16, 2022 and July 20, 2022. 

October 2022: Notice of Availability

October - December 2022: The 45-day public review and comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) was held between October 20, 2022 and December 5, 2022. Cal Poly Humboldt hosted a public meeting on Tuesday November 15, 2022 to inform interested parties about the project, provide a summary of the environmental impact conclusions from the DEIR, and provide agencies and the public with an opportunity to provide comments on the EIR. 

January 2023: The Board of Trustees met on January 25, 2023 and approved the project and certified the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR). Information regarding the Board of Trustees meetings can be found here: https://www.calstate.edu/csu-system/board-of-trustees/Pages/default.aspx
