About ResNet
ResNet, short for Residential Network, is the technology infrastructure providing high quality, wired and wireless Internet service to Humboldt Housing residents free of charge. ResNet is also our technology Help Desk that is student-staffed during the academic school year.
Although Cal Poly Humboldt does provides free wireless Internet access to all Humboldt students, this access is intended and tailored for academic use only. ResNet, on the other hand, is designed with “at home” internet usage in mind. Residents at Humboldt may use ResNet to connect their desktop computers, laptops, smart phones, tablets, gaming consoles, and streaming media devices to the Internet for both academic and recreational use.
Through ResNet, residents may work on class assignments with students both on and off campus, use Humboldt Library resources, or correspond with professors, family, and friends. ResNet is high speed and available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
