Scope 1 are direct emissions from the combustion of fossil fuels by the university, including natural gas, diesel, biodiesel, gasoline and propane. Scope 2 emissions are from the electricity consumed by the university. Scope 3 are related emissions from commuting, university financed travel, solid waste and fuel + energy related activities.
