What is Associated Students?
Associated Students (A.S.) is the elected representative voice for students at Cal Poly Humboldt. A.S. defends the student body interests as stakeholders of our university alongside faculty, campus administrators, and government officials. A.S. is a non-profit auxiliary of Cal Poly Humboldt that is run by students and funded by student fees.
A.S. Travel Grants Now Live!
A.S. travel grants offer financial support for recognized student organizations (RSOs) at Cal Poly Humboldt, enabling students to participate in educational, leadership, or professional development experiences. This includes attending conferences, professional meetings, and competitions outside of Humboldt.
Funding Details:
- Groups with fewer than 5 travelers: Up to $750
- Groups with 5 or more travelers: Up to $1,000
Important Information:
- Applications must be submitted at least 4 weeks before departure to allow for pre-approval with the Office of Student Life.
- Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are reimbursement-based.
- Funding covers costs strictly related to academic or research travel; it cannot be used for non-eligible expenses, such as alcohol.
- Each RSO can receive funding once per academic year.

By joining the Board of Directors or a Campus Committee you will be able to voice your opinions to help benefit the student environment on campus. It's important to try and find a Board or Committee that will allow you to put your skills to use. Getting involved with student government will also give you the chance to make lasting connections with peers and other professionals in your field of study.
