Title IX and Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation Prevention

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Hold up. Wait a minute. Slow down. Think about it.

The CSU Systemwide Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) Campaign is focused on raising awareness around the need to stop, avoid making assumptions, and demonstrate care by making sure all parties are on the same page and consent is clear. We hope these materials help highlight the importance of not taking advantage of or making assumptions in situations where clarity is lacking, and ensuring consent is clear before taking any given action.

  1. Non-discrimination based on sex or gender
  2. Sexual harassment and sexual assault
  3. Program equity, such as athletics.

To ensure compliance with Title IX and other laws, California State University (CSU) policy prohibits:

  • Discrimination or Harassment based on any Protected Status
  • Sexual Harassment
  • Sexual Misconduct
  • Dating Violence and Domestic Violence
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Stalking
  • Prohibited Consensual Relationships
  • Retaliation

Humboldt's Title IX Coordinator & Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (DHR) Prevention Administrator implements this policy and oversees and coordinates prompt and equitable grievance procedures for students, staff, and faculty. The Title IX & DHR Prevention Office, Deputy Coordinators, Investigators, and Campus Partners stand ready to assist any member of the campus community who has experienced discrimination or sexual misconduct.
