Mission
The College of Natural Resources and Sciences advances applied science, engineering, and technology through place-based learning, sustainability, interdisciplinarity, and service to society. We prepare students for meaningful careers while addressing real-world challenges through impactful teaching, research, and partnerships. As the university’s primary driver of its polytechnic mission, we foster innovation, support regional economic development, and collaborate with community, state, and federal partners to serve the North Coast and beyond.
Vision
We believe in the ability of all people to engage in science and engineering and in the ability of science and engineering to serve society and communities. All of the teaching and research programs in the college engage with applied, socially meaningful and impactful application of our disciplines in real-world settings, with undergraduate education and graduate excellence at the center. We are active in economic development around emerging technologies and industries and serve as a partner with state and federal agencies in the North Coast region.
