Alternate Media
Course-related materials are available in alternate formats for eligible students. Alternate formats include, but are not limited to the following:
- Electronic Text (e-text)
- Large Print
- Braille and/or Tactile Diagrams
Request E-text for current or upcoming semester
Alternate Media - E-Text Users
If eligible for the alternate formatting (e-text) service, your CDRC Accessibility Advisor will request that you complete the Student Certification for Alternate Media Services form (will be available on your To Do List in Student Center). Once this form is completed, you will be asked to set up an e-text orientation appointment.
During the e-text orientation, the CDRC's Peer Technology Assistant (PTA) will explain the processes and procedures for using and requesting e-text at Humboldt. Software available for student download (Read&Write) may also be demonstrated in the e-text orientation meeting. If you bring your laptop to the e-text orientation meeting and would like to use Read&Write to access the e-text files, the PTA can walk you through the installation process of Read&Write.
