Humboldt Confined Space Entry Program
Confined space entry is a hazardous activity and can be extremely dangerous to entrants. Humboldt's Confined Space Entry Program protects employees who enter confined spaces and provides procedures for departments who oversee employees who enter confined spaces. This Program has been developed with in Facilities Management in coordination with EH&S.
Definition of a Confined Space
Confined space must have all three characteristics:
- It is large enough and so configured that a person can bodily enter and perform assigned work; and
- It has limited or restricted means for entry or exit; and
- It is not designed for continuous human occupancy.
Responsibilities
- Follow the Confined Space Program at Humboldt: Confined Space Entry Program (Facilities Management)
- Attend training prior to entering confined spaces
Training
