We are so excited to provide an exciting addition to our calendar: a Sunset Kayak Paddle on the pristine Humboldt Bay! Allow our experienced guides to show to the wonders of the second largest bay in California and a biodiversity hotspot for many species. In addition to our guides, included in the program fee is also all the gear you need: kayak, wetsuit, booties, splash jacket, and PFD (lifejacket). Come join us on this memorable adventure!
<p><strong>Equipment:</strong> For aquatic programs all participants are required to wear a wetsuit, booties/ water shoes, and life jacket. These items are required for safety of the participants and reducing risk of injury or incident.</p><p><strong>Vessel: </strong>This activity uses a wide variety of kayaks. Requires the ability to sit upright with a supported backrest and use a paddle.</p><p><strong>Transportation: </strong>Transportation is not provided for this activity. All participants will meet at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center, located at 921 Waterfront Drive, Eureka CA.</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong> The Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center is equipped with an ADA compliant front door and an elevator. The facility has restrooms and locker rooms with showers. Please note if you would like to use a locker, the lockers are not equipped with locks but you are welcome to bring your own. There is a boat ramp that leads to our floating dock which changes grade based on the tide. All other walkways around the facility are flat and paved.</p><p>Persons who wish to request accessibility-related accommodations should contact Center Activities at 707-826-3357, or email at cntracts@humboldt.edu as soon as possible.
