Start your day early and experience the serene beauty of Big Lagoon at sunrise! This diverse wildlife habitat is home to Roosevelt Elk, river otters, and dozens of species of waterfowl and other birds. As you paddle through the calm waters at the ideal time for wildlife viewing, your guide will point out the unique animals and plant life that call this special place home.

Program Fee Includes: Transportation to and from location from Cal Poly Humboldt Library Circle, high quality on-land and on-water kayak instruction, all required gear (kayak, paddle, personal flotation device, wetsuit, booties, and splash top), and experienced guides to provide interpretive and safety information.
Equipment: For aquatic programs all participants are required to wear a wetsuit, booties/ water shoes, and life jacket. These items are required for safety of the participants and reducing risk of injury or incident.
Vessel: This activity uses a wide variety of kayaks. Requires the ability to sit upright with a supported backrest and use a paddle.
Transportation: Transportation is included in this course. Accessible transportation options available upon request with advanced notice. Participants will be meeting at Cal Poly Humboldt Library Circle.
