Join us for an unforgettable paddleboarding experience at the serene Big Lagoon! Whether you're new to the sport or just looking to explore the sport in a beautiful setting, this guided tour is the perfect way to get out on the water. The calm, flat waters of Big Lagoon provide the ideal backdrop for an easy and enjoyable outing.
Our experienced guides will introduce you to the basics of paddleboarding, including equipment use and paddle strokes, while sharing insights into the natural beauty of the area. All necessary gear, including paddleboards, paddles, and lifejackets, is provided, so all you need to do is show up and enjoy the adventure!
Program Fee Includes: Transport to and from the trip location to Library Circle at Cal Poly Humboldt, on-land and on-water paddleboard instruction, all necessary gear (board, paddle, leash, PFD, wetsuit, booties, splash jacket), and expert interpretive and safety information throughout the adventure.
Equipment: For aquatic programs all participants are required to wear a wetsuit, booties/ water shoes, and personal flotation device. These items are required for safety of the participants and reducing risk of injury or incident.
Vessel: This activity uses a variety of paddleboards. Requires the ability to sit, kneel, or stand upright without a backrest and use a paddle.
Transportation: Transportation is provided for this activity in Outdoor Adventure vans. All participants will be meeting at Library Circle on campus.
