Visit the Sequoia Park Zoo, the oldest zoo in California, and experience a unique blend of history, wildlife, and nature. Established in 1907, this iconic zoo in Eureka offers an opportunity to explore a wide variety of animals, including red pandas, spider monkeys, bears, coyotes, and more. The zoo also features a petting area where visitors can get close to friendly animals, making it an ideal destination for all animal lovers.
In addition to its rich collection of wildlife, the zoo also features the Redwood Skywalk, a treetop pathway that rises 100 feet above the lush forest floor. As you walk along the skywalk, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of both old-growth and second-growth redwood canopies, providing a rare and spectacular perspective of Humboldt’s verdant forests.
The Sequoia Park Zoo offers visitors a chance to connect with nature, learn about diverse species, and experience the history of California’s oldest zoo. This is a must-see destination to get a better look at what Humboldt has to offer.
Program Fee Includes: Transportation to and from each event from Cal Poly Humboldt Library Circle, entry fees to locations or events, an experienced guide joining your adventure to offer information, tips, and keep you safe!
Transportation: Transportation is provided to and from each activity inside Outdoor Adventures vans or Cal Poly Humboldt busses from Library Circle. Accessible transportation options may be available upon request with advanced notice.
