Jolly Giant Commons Showers

Located in the JGC Rec Room, students can get access to a private shower facility and free shower supplies like soap, shampoo, lotion, etc. This is offered entirely for free and can be more discreet than other showers. Supplies are available upon request for free. Just head to the Rec Room desk (1st floor JGC) with your student ID card, let them know if you need supplies, and you're all set!

When: DAILY, 10am - 10pm

Other On-Campus Showers

Showers are available for general student use in the following buildings:

Kinesiology: 1st floor (locker rooms near pool)

  • Visit the Kinesiology Office in KA 305 with your student ID to get code access to the locker rooms
  • Available when building is open
    • Fall 2023 hours
      • Monday - Friday: 6am - 10pm
      • Saturday: 8am - 6:30pm
      • Sunday: 8am - 10pm

Forestry: 1st floor (by the men's restroom)

  • Available when building is open
    • Fall 2023 hours
      • Monday - Friday: 7am - 10pm
      • Saturday: 7:30am - 6pm
      • Sunday: 7:30am - 9pm

Raven Project, RCAA

Provides food, clothing, showers, and other services to homeless youth 21 years of age or younger. The RAVEN Project is open Tuesdays 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm, Thursdays 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm, Saturday's 12 pm - 5 pm. 

Location: 904 G Street, Eureka, CA 95501 • 16 - 20 minute car ride, 41 -  minute bus ride from campus

Menstrual Products

Buildings with free menstrual products in all restrooms:

Betty's Showers - Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation

The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation has a shower facility in Eureka, CA for our homeless neighbors. Sign up starts at 8am at the facility.

When: Monday - Friday, 8am - 11am

Where: 35 W 3rd St. Eureka, CA 95501 (back corner of the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Facility)

Shower Van

Affordable Homeless Housing Alternatives operates a 3 bathroom trailer that provides showers, clothing, food, and hygiene supplies to the Humboldt Bay region and Redway, CA. The van travels between a few places on rotation. Click the link above to view their schedule.

AHHA will facilitate the implementation of these alternative housing models by networking with private groups, nonprofits, public agencies, faith-based organizations, individual volunteers, and by partnering with the cities, county and others to ensure development and capacity building.
