Events
The Social Justice, Equity & Inclusion Center (SJEIC) offers a variety of events for students, staff, and community members! We take pride in having events and workshops that range from interactive and social, to educational, to inspirational. Our goal is to create a safe (and fun!) space for all. To learn more about, or to be involved in our events, check out our calendar.
In-Building Resources:
- Computers & Printing: The SJEIC has four available computers in the computer lab that will allow students to print up to 10 FREE pages a day!!
- Library: The Rosa Parks Resource Room is a relaxing, cozy place to study and read. Many books are available to check out as well. This library is currently empty, but will be back again soon!
- Conference Room Reservations: The Vine Deloria Conference Room is a great resource for students in need of a space to study or hold meetings! The SJEIC can help set up a reservation- just contact us at sjeic@humboldt.edu
- Prayer Room: Located on the second floor of the SJEIC is our all-inclusive Prayer Room! It is the perfect room for peaceful reflection and relaxation. We have prayer rugs available for those who would like to use them!

Scholars Without Borders
Scholars Without Borders (SWB) was founded by a partnership between the Finding Resources and Empowerment through Education (F.R.E.E.) student organization and faculty members in April 2017. It was a direct result of many years of students’ organizing and activism that led to the creation of the center. The motivation was to create a space where students who come from marginalized communities find a space who recognize them as who they are.
