How to report Informal Time Off as a salaried employee
Informal Time Off (ITO) should not be reported in Absence Management Self Service (AMSS), as it is tracked between the employee and their department. ITO must be taken prior to June 30, 2025 with the approval of the employee's appropriate administrator.
Thanksgiving Holiday Example: Cal Poly Humboldt Staff are granted 3 hours of ITO on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, the day before the Thanksgiving holiday. If an employee works their full shift on that Wednesday, they would take three (3) hours of informal time at a later date. If an employee takes vacation on that Wednesday, eight (8) hours of vacation should still be entered in AMSS and then three (3) hours of ITO would be taken at a later date.
If you have any additional questions regarding holiday ITO, please contact the Payroll office at payroll@humboldt.edu.
