Energy Storage for Humboldt County

Description

Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Richard Engle, Redwood Coast Energy Authority:

How does battery energy storage work? What are the benefits? What battery energy storage projects exist in Humboldt County? Learn the important role that battery energy storage from renewable resources plays in providing back-up energy when needed. As Humboldt County and the rest of the world transition to an economy powered by clean, renewable resources, energy storage has an important role to play. Batteries and other storage technologies help to match intermittent energy from wind and solar sources to the timing of when customers need electricity. Richard Engel from the Redwood Coast Energy Authority will provide an overview of this timely and important topic.
