Gardening

OhSNAP has a garden bed at the Campus Center for Appropriate Technology (CCAT), where we grow a variety of fresh herbs and salad greens. Our student staff takes care of the garden, ensuring it flourishes year-round, providing students with an opportunity to experience firsthand the rewards of growing their own food.

The garden not only provides fresh produce but also serves as a learning hub for sustainable practices. We host gardening workshops that teach students the essentials of gardening—from planting seeds to harvesting your own food. These hands-on workshops are designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to grow their own food, whether in a garden bed, small container, or even an apartment balcony.

Join us in the garden and learn how to grow your own food, nurture the planet, and enjoy the fruits (and veggies) of your labor!
