Maxine Mota, B.S.

Maxine Mota is the Tutoring Coordinator for the Learning Center. Originally from Oceanside, California, she moved up to Arcata to attend Cal Poly Humboldt, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology with a minor in Botany. She is currently a Master's student in Library and Information Science (Data Science Pathway) at San Jose State University. Maxine is also a proud first-generation student, the first in her family to earn a Bachelor's or Master's Degree.

Maxine joined the Learning Center team full-time in 2017 and previously worked as both a tutor and SI leader. She previously worked as the Administrative Support Coordinator and the Assistant Tutoring & SI Coordinator at the Learning Center.
