Kurt Schake

Dr. Kurt Schake ('shock-ee") is a lifelong learner with a passion for applying education to real-world problems. He has held leadership positions in the military, education, and business communities. Some highlights include:

• U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, strategic requirements officer for NATO, retired colonel
• Dean of NATO School (the Alliance's largest school), dean of Air War College (the service's highest professional school), led the military training developmental program at the Air Force Academy
• President of multiple organizations serving vocational education, trades, healthcare, and business

He has served on the faculty of seven schools and universities. Currently, he is the executive director of a non-profit in Monterey, California, and a faculty member at the Naval Postgraduate School.
