MBA students: Professional Program Fee
A fee is charged on a per unit basis ($303 per unit) in addition to the registration fees (and nonresident tuition fee, if applicable) for the graduate business programs.
Out of State Tuition
Non-California Resident student who do not qualify for Western Undergraduate Exchange or Western Regional Graduate Program are charged a per unit fee of $444 in addition to the baseline tuition and fees rate.
Undergraduates
Example of Non-resident Fees: 12 units x 2 semesters = 24 units x $444 per unit = $10,656 in non-residence fees. Total NR Fees plus tuition & fees ($9,290) = $19,946/year
Example of Non-resident COA: $10,656 + $29,894 (on campus) = $40,550 is the estimated cost of attendance per year.
Graduates
Example of Non-resident Fees: 9 units x 2 semesters = 18 units x $444 per unit = $7,992 in non-resident fees. Total NR Fees plus tuition & fees ($11,000) = $18,992/year
Example of Non-resident COA: $7,992+ $32,766 (off campus) = $40,758 is the estimated cost of attendance per year.

For informational purposes only: In accordance with California Assembly Bill 990 & Senate Bill 467, Cal Poly Humboldt provides the typical market cost of a one bedroom apartment in the local area.
- Arcata one bedroom - $1200

- Arcata single room in a house - $740
The Room and Board expenses included in the off-campus Cost of Attendance represent the typical costs students pay when enrolled at Cal Poly Humboldt. Actual costs of room and board will vary. Many students living off-campus have roommates, which decreases their housing costs.
These estimated costs were developed by analyzing up-to-date local rental listings such as Craiglist. We encourage families to consider how their own costs may differ from those estimated above.
