Nate Johle

Transition and Student Success Advisor

Nate the EOP/SSS Student Success and Transition Advisor grew up watching Scooby-Doo in a small town in the Inland Empire before coming to Cal Poly Humboldt and earning his degree in Environmental Biology and looks forward to sharing his knowledge in the EOP Fall Bridge Botany 180 adjunct course this Fall!

The sense of community here at Cal Poly Humboldt is a point of pride for Nate and he hopes to draw on this sense of community to help students achieve academic success. As a First Generation student himself, he knows that academic success is possible but it takes work.

When Nate isn’t “working 9 to 5” as Dolly says in his favorite song, you might find him playing guitar in his local punk band or watching horror movies or merging both these interests by watching his favorite movie: Green Room.

A bit of advice from Nate: “Study more than you think you should and rest more than you think you should!”
