Industry Experience

Patti started her industry career in New York City as a freelance video editor for projects
ranging from low-budget movie trailers to high-end escort service catalogs. Moving to
Hollywood was a natural transition. Today, Patti is a writer/Showrunner/Executive Producer
whose credits range from KIM POSSIBLE and CATDOG (animation) to BOY MEETS WORLD and
REBA (half-hour multi-cam) to MIXOLOGY (half-hour single-cam) to PRIVATE PRACTICE, 90210,
THE GOOD DOCTOR and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (hour-long drama and sci-fi.) In addition, she
has sold and produced pilots in both comedy and drama for networks such as NBC, ABC, CBS,
CW, USA and Hulu.

Creative Work/ Specializations/ Publication Highlights
Patti’s professional interests go beyond teaching writing as a craft to protecting writing as a
career. A member of the Writers Guild of America West since 1997, Patti has served as a
Pension and Health Trustee since 2011, and was elected to the WGAW Board from 2017 to
2022. She served in leadership during the 2019 AMBA/Agency Campaign, the 2023 WGA strike,
and has been on three MBA Negotiating Committees.

Favorites
Among Patti’s favorites are Jaws, The Sopranos, and Airplane! When not watching or making
