Marilyn Koch
Visiting Faculty
Marilyn Koch was born and raised in California. She previously worked as the Program Coordinator for the Jewelry and Metalsmithing Department at Syracuse University in New York where she received her MFA in 2018.
Koch’s work hints of the absolute fundamental idea of the self. Her earlier work addresses topics of ephemeral youth, social norms and our place in them, but the underlying current of her work thus far has been motivated by the struggles we have with identifying why or how we choose to justify our actions, thoughts, and emotions. These investigations ultimately end with a hazy sense of faith.
Her work has been exhibited in Germany, England, and all across the United States.
