Lindsay Kessner
Lecturer
L.L. Kessner incorporates landscapes, mythology, and science into enigmatic paintings, drawings, and videos. Before Humboldt, Kessner taught for ten years at the Armory Center for the Arts and other institutions in the LA area. Her exhibitions include Morris Graves Museum of Art, LACE, PØST, Pico House, and Surrogate galleries, and public art for the Cities of Pasadena, CA and Oak Park, IL. Kessner writes about contemporary art for local publications, and about personal history and science fiction. She received her MFA from ArtCenter Collage of Design, and completed bachelor’s degrees in Visual Art and in Fundamentals: Issues and Texts at The University of Chicago.
