Thesis Topic: Marten/other species occupancy in Lassen National Forest in response to the Dixie Fire
I am originally from Portland, Oregon, and did my undergrad in western Montana. As soon as I was aware that wildlife biology was a potential career path, thanks to Jane Goodall, my plan was to study wildlife. During undergrad, I worked on everything from plant genomics to moose habitat selection, but have always planned to return to the Pacific Northwest. During and after undergrad, I spent three years working on the long-term demography study of northern spotted owls in the central and southern Oregon Cascades, where I became even more interested in old-growth conifer specialists. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, and admiring old-growth rainforests.
