Vertebrate Museum Collections Use Request (for education/outreach)

The Vertebrate Museum can loan teaching specimens to known organizations and institutions for school outreach and educational events, at the curator's discretion. Past examples include the loan of herpetological specimens for California State Parks "Creek Days" event, and the loan of bear skulls and skins to Cal Poly Humboldt students presentation to high school students on managing human-wildlife conflicts.

Classroom and other facilities uses

If you would like to request the use of the mammalogy classroom (Sci C 207), space in one of our freezers, or other facilities associated with the Vertebrate Museum please email our curator, Silvia Pavan (sep112@humboldt.edu) and the Biological Sciences Department coordinator Lydia Evers (lae18@humboldt.edu) with your request.

 

Museum Tour Request

The Vertebrate Museum is primarily a research collection and is not open to the public. However, we often provide tours for classes and other members of the public when requested. If you are interested in getting a tour of the Vertebrate Museum please complete the linked google form. Please provide at least a week notice in order to receive proper accommodations.
