All tests are administered under standardized conditions that are efficient, fair, and secure. We maintain and adhere to all standards set forth by the National College Testing Association (NCTA) and governmental regulations that promote responsible fiscal, legal, ethical, and equitable practices within an environment of continuous quality improvement, business innovation and technological advancement.

The Testing Center is committed to a diverse environment that encourages students and staff to function independently while demonstrating their inter- and intra-dependence as members of the college community.

Testing Accommodations Guidelines

Students receiving testing accommodations are required to adhere to the following Testing Center guidelines.:

Scheduling Exams: 
  • Exams must be scheduled 3 days in advance.
  • Final Exams must be scheduled 3 weeks prior to Final’s Week. 

Students who miss the deadline should contact testing@humboldt.edu immediately. Exams will be scheduled based on availability. 

Test Date and Time: 

Exams should be scheduled the same day and time as the rest of your class. Exceptions must be approved by the instructor. 

Arrive on Time: 

Arriving late may result in the loss of exam time. (Please contact the testing center if you are going to be late).

Final Exam: 

Final Exams need to be scheduled for the same date as the in class Final. Final exams should be scheduled to overlap with the In-Class Final exam.

Make-Up Exams: 

Make-up exams are a 2-step process. Approval is at the discretion of the Instructor upon consultation with a CDRC Advisor and the Testing Center. 

  • Students will need approval to take a Make-Up Exam from their Instructor and a CDRC Advisor 
Notifications:

CDRC students will notify their Instructor and the Testing Center (prior to testing date/time) about any changes, including cancellations, prior to the test date/time of the exam should illness or any unforeseen circumstances arise.
