Staff Council

The Cal Poly Humboldt Staff Council and its members acknowledge Humboldt’s core values, including:

“We believe in the dignity of all individuals, in fair and equitable treatment, and in equal opportunity. We value the richness and interplay of differences. We value the inclusiveness of diversity, and we respect alternative paradigms of thought. We believe in collegial dialogue and debate that leads to participatory decision-making within our community.”

Staff Council is a recognized body within shared governance on the Cal Poly Humboldt campus. We provide input and advice on staff matters and perspectives not covered by collective bargaining.

Staff Council endeavors to enhance the recognition and worth of each staff member through its community service efforts. We create a positive impact on staff culture and morale, seek out and respond to ideas and suggestions, and help to represent staff to the University administration. We work to promote open communication, create a cohesive campus community, ensure that staff members' voices are heard and engage in service to the campus. We strive to promote staff professional development opportunities to gain and improve skills.
