Duties:  The Center for Community Based Learning Advisory Committee is comprised of Humboldt students, faculty, staff and local community partners. The Advisory Committee members provide feedback and guidance on the Center’s activities and strategic direction. Each member offers a unique perspective and represents their constituency needs and goals. The meetings provide opportunities for campus and community connections as representatives share their organizations initiatives. The committee meets twice a semester for 1.5 hours each on the Humboldt campus. (See Executive Memorandum P02-02 [Revised August 2012] for more information).

Membership:
 

  • AVP of  Academic Programs & The Dean of Undergraduate & Gradudate Studies
  • One college dean, or associate dean (two-year term), appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
  • One faculty member from each college (two-year staggered terms), appointed by the Appointments and Elections Committee
  • CSU Faculty Service Learning representative (two-year term)
  • Academic Senate Educational Policies Chair, or designee
  • University Curriculum Committee Chair, or designee
  • Two student representatives, appointed by Associated Students (yearly appointments)
  • Coordinator of Service Learning/Experiential Education
  • Two community representatives (two-year term), appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs
  • One K-12 Community Partner Liaison (two-year term), appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
  • One Academic Affairs representative (two-year term), appointed by the Vice President for Student Affairs
  • One Career Center representative (two-year term), appointed by the Vice President for Student Affairs
  • Faculty Development Coordinator
  • Service Learning Faculty Mentor Coordinator(s)

Type: Administrative committee that reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and to the Vice President for Student Affairs

Meetings: Once a month or as needed
