Using Walking Sticks: Practical Pilates

Thurs., Aug. 6, 1-3 p.m.

With Joanne Fornes, Movement Specialist

Combine cardiovascular exercise with a superb workout for core, arms and legs. Using principles from Pilates of breath and core engagement, discover how walking sticks provide a variety of exercise possibilities for the entire body, help with balance, protect knees and give you the extra strength to enjoy hiking and hill walking.

For courses taking place on Cal Poly Humboldt campus, please reference this map for ADA parking and accessibility information: https://www.humboldt.edu/sites/default/files/2024-04/campusmap.pdf. Daily parking permits are still required when parking in ADA spots on campus. This area of campus is generally flat, and Harry Griffith Hall has an elevator to get to the second floor.


Registration opens for OLLI members on May 27. Non-members may register starting May 29.
