This course explores various aspects of sustainability -- its underlying principles, challenges, and opportunities. We will examine how sustainability is essential not only for environmental protection, but also for economic and social well-being. By understanding the interconnectedness of ecosystems, economies, and communities, participants will gain insights into how sustainable practices can create a resilient and equitable future. The course is designed for lifelong learners who are passionate about the planet's health and want to contribute to positive change. Register by February 10.
Kate Lancaster
Kate Lancaster is committed to reducing her impact on the environment by living close to campus, practicing permaculture and growing much of her household's food. She is a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of America and enjoys long walks with her dogs. Dr. Lancaster also enjoys traveling without an itinerary and is an avid eclectric reader. Dr. Lancaster teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
