Jump Start Your Creativity!

Fri., Aug .7, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Location: In person: On Campus

Cost: $30

With Ruthie Davis, Writer/Artist/Creative

Being creative is not the same as being artistic. Creativity is seeing things in new ways, making new connections, thinking outside of the box. Creativity is your interpretation and expression of how you experience the world around you. In this supportive fun-filled class, we'll explore what creativity is, while redefining old beliefs and opening to new possibilities.

We'll play games that spark our imaginations to see and think past the obvious, through the ridiculous, to the magically unexpected. And we'll explore ways to apply these practices to all areas of our lives.

This workshop is for anyone who feels stuck and wants new ideas to get inspired. No artistic experience is necessary!

For courses taking place on Cal Poly Humboldt campus, please reference this map for ADA parking and accessibility information: https://www.humboldt.edu/sites/default/files/2024-04/campusmap.pdf. Daily parking permits are still required when parking in ADA spots on campus. This area of campus is generally flat, and Harry Griffith Hall has an elevator to get to the second floor.

Registration opens for OLLI members on May 27. Non-members may register starting May 29.
