Edie Butler

Associate Member, Humboldt Institute for Interdisciplinary Marijuana Research

Edie Butler is an Archivist. Though now retired she retains a strong interest in preserving the history of Northwestern California, especially the late 20th Century history.  She moved to Humboldt County in 1971 so has witnessed the many phases of the Cannabis/Marijuana culture. Her recent activities include compiling two documents in 2015:  TIMELINE for Marijuana in Northwest California, and BIBLIOGRAPHY for Marijuana in Northwest California.  She is also a co-founder of the Humboldt Area Peoples Archive, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
