Campus Assistance, Response, and Engagement (CARE)

The CARE Program seeks to be a safe and trusted campus resource that supports students who are overcoming extenuating circumstances. The CARE site contains information to assist students in accessing on and off campus resources related to food security, housing needs, mental health services, medical services, alcohol and other drug treatment, and other basic needs. If you have any questions, you can contact the CARE office at (707) 826-3504 or fill out a self-referral form.

Writing Consultations

The Humboldt Writing Studio, a program of the Learning Center, offers free writing support. Writing consultants can help with:

  • Getting started on a writing project
  • Incorporating and analyzing sources
  • Organizing arguments and linking ideas
  • Using academic voice and style
  • Improving grammar and punctuation
