New publication on modeling mortality risks

Steve Railsback and Bret Harvey have a new journal article on representing mortality risks in complex ecological models. It presents methods for representing how risks such as predation and disease can vary in nonlinear ways with multiple variables of individuals and their habitat, time, weather, etc. The article is in press at Individual-based Ecology and a pre-publication version is available here.
