Research Associate
Archer has been working with the Cultural Resources Facility since 2023. Originally from southern California, they received their AA in Anthropology from Fullerton College in 2017 before transferring to California State University, Chico. There, they pursued their interest in Forensic Anthropology, receiving specialized training in areas such as bio-archaeology, osteology, and zooarchaeology. During this time, they also participated in a rigorous internship with the university's Human Identification Lab, where they assisted professors and local law enforcement agencies with active forensic casework. They graduated with a certificate in human identification and their BA from CSU Chico in 2019. Archer is looking forward to specializing in bio-archaeology as they pursue their graduate degree in the near future, and to continue expanding their knowledge of archaeology in Northern California along the way. In their free time, Archer enjoys reading, birdwatching, foraging for mushrooms, or putting on a record from their eclectic collection.
