Register now!

Join us to welcome in a new academic year. On Friday, August 23, from 8:30am - 1:00pm, we will revisit topics that help our university function effectively, help our work be valuable, and help our students be successful. We will work to rediscover each other as colleagues and re-envision a campus community that leads in times of challenge and change. Professional Development Day will focus on a variety of concurrent sessions, information tabling, and opportunities to connect with colleagues. Refreshments will be provided.

Please note: This is an in-person event. Let's enjoy our light breakfast in the JVD lobby and lunch at The Depot. Do not eat or drink in the theater.

Join Justus Ortega to discuss the progress of the Health Taskforce and its goals for the upcoming year.
The Health Taskforce is charged with:  
1) Determining new academic degree programs in health to address workforce and polytechnic phase two (2026) goals. 
2) Reviewing existing academic degree programs in and related to health. 
3) Identifying opportunities to improve access to healthcare in Humboldt County through partnerships with the Redwood Coast Collaborative K-16 Grant and local community groups.
