Thank you for your interest in the Brass Chamber Music Workshop! We welcome participants age 18 and older.

If you apply before May 15, you will have first choice of week participation. Applications received after May 15 may not get first choice of weeks. 

Applications received after June 1 will be accepted on an "instrumental need" basis. No applications will be accepted after June 15.

Applications open mid-March for 2025.

Workshop Fees

Workshop Fee: $670 per week. Please do not mail payment. After completing the application, you will be directed to pay a deposit online. 

For your application to be processed, you must pay a deposit of $335 dollars per week at humboldt..edu/brass/pay. [available in March]

Upon acceptance into the program, the balance of the workshop fee is due in full by June 15, 2025. 

The Brass Chamber Music Workshop (BCMW) encourages you to wait until you are reasonably sure of attending the workshop before you pay the registration and housing fees. Once the workshop and housing fees are paid, there are no refunds.

If you must withdraw from the program due to unforeseen circumstances, you may petition for a refund. It is your responsibility to email a request to Dan Aldag and provide evidence for the reason for withdrawal. Each petition will be reviewed by BCMW staff and responded to within 14 business days with a response. 

A work/study program is available. If you would like more information, please indicate this on the application form.

Optional campus housing

Housing, parking, and dining must be arranged directly with the Cal Poly Humboldt housing office.

2024 housing costs: Single rooms are $53 per person/per night. Double rooms are $42 per person/per night.
