Spring 2025 Commencement Participation
Processional Participation
Faculty and staff participating in the processional and who will be seated in the faculty and staff section during a Commencement ceremony are asked to register their participation by Friday, April 11, 2025. Participating faculty and staff for the on-campus ceremonies will receive further instruction from their College Coordinator.
Those needing to order regalia can do so with Herff Jones. The deadline to order regalia to be received in time for the event is Friday, March 28, 2025. More information will be sent by your College Coordinator regarding when and where to show up on the day of the event.
Staff Support
Staff who would like to provide support during Commencement should make arrangements with their supervisor and submit their interest and availability by Friday, April 11, 2025. Positions such as greeting, ushering, providing ADA shuttle and wheelchair support, providing parking and traffic support, supporting the graduate and faculty and staff line-up area, etc. are needed for the on-campus ceremonies. Information regarding shifts and assignments will be shared closer to the event.
The most up-to-date information is posted on the Commencement website. Please email grad@humboldt.edu with any questions.
Thank you for all you do for our students! Looking forward to celebrating with you!
Changes Coming to GEAR!
Humboldt GEAR requirements are changing with the Fall 2025 semester, to align with systemwide and statewide revisions! All students will be moved to the new GEAR pathway (which requires 5 fewer GEAR units); students can opt to retain their current GEAR requirements through the Registrar's Office, beginning in mid-April, 2025. Check out the attached flyers for details, and email Sara.Hart@humboldt.edu with any questions.
