Faculty Advising Fellows Update
The Faculty Advising Fellows: Erin Kelly (CNRS), Maria Iturbide (CPS), and Sarah Hart (CAHSS) want to thank everyone who shared their advising practices during their listening sessions last spring 2022. Findings from those sessions continue to inform the Advising Working Group. They also wanted to share a brief synopsis of key lessons (attached). This document is meant to spur and contribute to ongoing conversations about advising, especially as we move forward with new practices. Advising Fellows can provide more context and detail upon request.

Reminder: Save the Date: Academic Affairs Spring 2023 Welcome Back: Wednesday, January 11, 2023
Please save Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 9 am-10:45 am for the Academic Affairs Spring 2023 Divisional Welcome in the Van Duzer Theatre (JVD). The focus of our time together will be to discuss planning, process, resources, and more regarding new academic degree program development. As you are all aware we created expedited processes to address our aggressive timeline needed to launch our 2023 polytechnic academic programs. As we plan for new academic programs in out years we have an opportunity to be thoughtful in aligning our existing academic planning structures with our new polytechnic goals.
Thanks for a wonderful semester and as we wrap up the academic year next week I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for your contributions to our student's success. I will resume formal Provost Communications during our first green day of the Spring 2023 semester. Until then, I hope you enjoy some well-earned time off soon.
