Isaac Torres

Isaac is an Academic Advisor for the departments of Environmental Science and Management, Wildlife, and Forestry. Originally from Southern California, he received his Bachelors in Sociology with a minor in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2015. Isaac moved to Humboldt county in 2017 to pursue his MA in Sociology here at (then) Humboldt State University. Before teaching and advising at Cal Poly Humboldt, Isaac worked in the nonprofit industry, farmed and gardened all over Humboldt county, and coordinated for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Cal Poly Humboldt. When he is not teaching or advising you can probably find him at the gym, swimming, spending time with friends/family, or hanging with the trees.
