Marjie Wolf

 Marjorie (Marjie) Wolfe is an academic advisor at TRiO Talent Search. With a background in Critical Race and Gender Studies, Sociology, and Political Science, they bring many years of experience to their role. They apply both their expertise and personal experience as a McNair Scholar (a TRiO program) to encourage and uplift the students they advise. Marjie is passionate about education, community, and the environment. They enjoy volunteer work, community engagement, and being in the beautiful surroundings of Humboldt County and beyond.

     Marjie has been a coordinator of local non-profit community-based organizations, conducted research in archival studies, authored articles, and has many years of experience working with youth across various platforms, including art, theatre, and coaching sports teams. In their role with TRiO, they are responsible for preparing young people for graduation and beyond. They hope to see many students move on to Community Colleges, Universities, and trade schools with all the tools they need, not just to survive, but to thrive in their educational pursuits.

      When Marjie is not working, they enjoy game nights with family and friends, being in nature, horseback riding, and reading. Marjie is so proud to be a part of the TRiO Team!
