Alex Volonts

Alex Volonts has been a member of the Santa Rosa Symphony since 2008. He is also a member of Monterey Symphony, as well as an avid chamber musician. He is a violin/viola teacher in Sonoma County and head of the faculty for Simply Strings. The Simply Strings program was inspired by El Sistema, Venezuela’s acclaimed, social-action music network. Simply Strings develops musical excellence and promotes social engagement. He is a regular coach of all Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Ensembles. Volonts studied at Juilliard School and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
