Mark Taylor

Program Coordinator

Mark earned six associate degrees while serving a life sentence in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. After experiencing 21 ½ years of incarceration, Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 2022 and a Master of Social Work in 2024, graduating with a 4.0 GPA (summa cum laude) and earning the Patricia O. McConkey Outstanding Student Award.  Mark is also a First District Appellate Project (FDAP) board member and a teaching artist for the Prison Arts Collective. Before joining Project Rebound, Mark worked as the Northern Regional Manager for the Anti-Recidivism Coalition’s Hope and Redemption Team. Mark is a staunch advocate of criminal justice reform and has dedicated his life to helping others surmount the challenges associated with life during and after incarceration.
