Andrea Juarez

Andrea Juarez is the faculty adviser to El Leñador. She is also a freelance writer who primarily covers health, food, and the oudoors for magazines and alternative publications. She is a former managing editor of a Latino publication in Austin, Texas. Prior to her writing career, she worked as an employment attorney in Denver, Colorado. She has a penchant for hikes along the coast, flicks (period pieces, foreign films, and movies without predictable, happy endings), and all things food.
 

Describe a professional or academic accomplishment of which you’re proud.

I was the first in my family to graduate from college and also the first to receive an advanced degree.

Personal motto?

I want the "I dids" and "I trieds" to far outnumber the "I should'ves" and "I wish I hads."
