About Tony
Why did you choose this program?
I chose physics because I wanted to challenge myself with what I was interested in learning more about.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
The problem-solving skills that I developed while studying physics really help me get down to the real world cause of problems in complex networks.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
I loved the small classroom sizes and the fact that I could talk directly to my professors every day without having to go through a TA first. The professors and staff are all wonderful people who are easy to talk to and take a genuine interest in their students.
I really enjoyed the research experience, both for how close I was able to work with my professors and developing my ability to translate physics into solving real-world problems. I think that was the most fruitful part for me.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
The professors are wonderful and easy to talk to. The professor-to-student ratio is low, and the HSU campus and surrounding area are beautiful. This program is a wonderful way to live in a beautiful place learn and get hands-on experience both in researching physics and experimentation and instrumentation.
